‌ The panda mascot for the 2021 Chengdu Universiade is Rong Bao ‌. Rong Bao is a giant panda whose design is inspired by the facial makeup of Sichuan opera, with its ears, eyes and tail in the shape of fire, symbolizing running and enthusiasm. Rong Bao holds a torch with the Chinese character "31", representing the 31st Universiade ‌.
